Go Team!!

We had a great time last night at Matt's Casbah Wines. Six new members joined our ranks last night and will storm the castle with the rest of Team In Training. We are ready to have a great season and are going to kick cancer in the butt!

If you can't run/walk with the team, there are other ways to show your support. Here's a breakdown of your how you can put your "dollars to work":

$25 funds . . .
*a medication co-payment for one patient for one month;
*diagnosis literature for five newly diagnosed patients.

$50 funds . . .
*school re-entry materials for a teacher to use in the classroom
*a family support group for one month
*training for six patient volunteers to become peer mentors

$100 funds . . .
*supply laboratory researchers with supplies and materials critical to carrying out their search for cures
*financial assistance for one family for one year

$150 funds . . .
*10 patients access to an informational teleconference about their specific blood cancer disease

$300 funds . . .
*training for 25 Peer Volunteers who can provide emotional support to newly diagnoses patients

$400 funds . . .
*educational Pediatric Instructional Manuals to assist a child with cancer returning to school after treatment for 40 teachers

$500 funds . . .
a monthly family Support Group Program for one year for 20 patients

$1,000.00 funds . . .
one-on-one conversations with health care specialists who provide patients with information about their disease, treatment options, and helps prepare them with questions for their health care team
*insurance co-pays for one patient for one year
